The Amavasya tithi is considered very auspicious for worshiping the ancestors and the goddess of wealth, Goddess Lakshmi. According to religious beliefs, by performing special remedies on the day of Somvati Amavasya, the Pitru Devs are pleased and happiness and prosperity increase.

The Amavasya of Chaitra month is on April 8 and this day is Monday. Since the Amavasya of Chaitra month falls on Monday, it is called Somvati Aamavasya.

On this day, charity and bathing in the river are also of great importance. Somvati Amavasya is considered an important day to get rid of Pitru Dosha. When the ancestors are angry, many kinds of problems start coming in life. Let us know the remedies of Somvati Amavasya, by doing which one can get rid of Pitru Dosha.

Tarpan to the ancestors

On the day of Somvati Amavasya, after bathing in the morning, remember the ancestors and do their tarpan. For this, use black sesame seeds, white flowers and kusa grass. By doing tarpan, the ancestors are pleased and one gets rid of Pitru Dosha.

Lighting a lamp for the ancestors

If you want to please the Pitru Dev, then for this, light an oil lamp for the ancestors in the south direction outside the house on the day of Somvati Amavasya. It is believed that by doing this, the Pitru Devs are pleased and the ancestors bless all the members of the house.

Donation and charity

Amavasya is considered a very important day to please the ancestors and get relief from Pitru Dosha. Therefore, on this day, by doing charity and Shradh Karma, the ancestors can be pleased. Therefore, donate clothes, fruits etc. to a poor person. At the same time, after sunset, light a lamp with black sesame seeds in mustard oil in the south direction. On this day, by reciting Pitru Stotra and Pitru Kavach, one can get the blessings of the ancestors.

Watering the Peepal tree

The remedy of watering the root of the Peepal tree also removes Pitru Dosha. Do this remedy on Somvati Amavasya. After bathing and donating on this day, water the root of the Peepal tree. By doing this, the ancestors are pleased. The Peepal tree is home to all three gods, Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. By serving the Peepal tree, the grace of the ancestors can be obtained.

Worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati

On the day of Somvati Amavasya, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati should be worshiped. Offer the virtue of this puja to the ancestors. This will please the ancestors and get rid of Pitru Dosha.

Bathing and donation

On the day of Somvati Amavasya, bathing and donation are of great importance. Therefore, on this occasion, take a bath in the holy river. If this is not possible, then add Ganges water to the water and take a bath. It is believed that by doing this remedy, the effect of Pitru Dosha does not affect the person.

Feeding fish

After bathing etc. in the morning of Amavasya, make dough balls. Keep chanting the name of God while making the bullets. After that, go to a nearby pond or river and feed these dough balls to the fish. This remedy removes  many problems in your life.

Feeding ants

On this day, feed the black ants with sugar mixed flour. By doing this, your sins will be destroyed and virtuous deeds will rise. These virtuous deeds will help in fulfilling your wishes.

Remedy for unemployed

If an unemployed person does this remedy on the night of Amavasya, then he will definitely get employment. For this, clean 1 lemon and keep it in the temple of your house since morning. Then at night, take it off the head of the unemployed person 7 times and cut it into 4 equal parts. Then go to a crossroads and throw 4 equal parts in four directions. This remedy will increase the chances of profit for the unemployed person.

Light a lamp of ghee

In the evening, light a lamp of cow's ghee in the northeast corner of the house. Use red thread instead of cotton in the wick. Also, add a little saffron to the lamp. This is a remedy to please Goddess Lakshmi.

Remedies for wealth

On the night of Amavasya, leave 5 red flowers and 5 lighted lamps in the flowing river water. By doing this remedy, strong chances of getting wealth will be created.

Remedy to pacify enemies

"If you feed a black dog with oil-smeared bread on the night of Amavasya and at the same time that dog eats this bread, then by this remedy all your enemies will become your friend
