On the day of Jyestha Amavasya, to get the blessings of ancestors and to calm the fierce nature of the planets, a person must donate 7 things.  7 special things are - rice, wheat, barley, corn, gram, moong dal and sesame.

Therefore Women who fast on Vat Savitri should worship Yama and Banyan tree on this day and must donate  Dakshina to needy. Along with this, distribute the things of Suhag among poor and needy women.
