When Jagannath Yatra is organized
Every year on the second day of Ashadh Shukla, Lord Jagannath goes to his maternal aunt's house, not going alone, but his elder brother Balaram and younger sister Subhadra also accompany him. These three ride on three different chariots. After that, all three of them reach the Gundicha temple. The Gundicha temple is about three kilometers away from the Jagannath temple. Devotees pull Lord Jagannath's chariot with full devotion and take it to Gundicha. Afterwards, all three are returned to their places on the tenth day of Ashadh Shukla Paksha.
